There is a breathtaking novel by Alan Paton (SP?) set in Africa that now fits the American scene. In this novel, if my memory serves; there is strife, there is racial tension and bigotry, there is racism.
There is also love, and joy, and a reordering of the mind -- even among the competing participants, to eventually welcome each other-- for the good of the country.
Just as in America circa "now" there are multiple journeys happening, multiple searches: for truth, and God, and values that really "give a damn." These searches also involve looking for specific people -- who have gone "lost" in secular, hedonistic, or even sociopathic lies. Those lost people must be redeemed -- just as our 'new lost' Americans must be welcomed back into the fold of civilization and humanity.
The "people off the edge" must be brought back to humanity, and life, and joy. And it must happen "for each of us" for the remarkable return to work. Let's start now.
But still resist, resist, resist!!!
