My youngest students are terrific examples of "hope for the future." The students at ECCA that are in my class(es) are mostly 14 and 15 years of age. That does not make them stupid; they are definitely not that. They are inexperienced in many ways, a bit naive, and untrained in many ways. But they bring integrity, honest, and incredible vigor to the educational process.
My oldest students are mostly "back in school" trying to improve themselves and better their educational strengths and their positions in life. "Jobs" are important but truly take a second place to learning for the sake of growing.
I admire both groups. They are working with knowledge for the right reasons even if they self-declare, as some do, that they "hate school."
